Pulicaria Gaertn.

Genus composed of 68 species typical of the temperate and tropical areas of the Old World. In North Africa it is represented by 18 species, of which only P. undulata has woody stems at the base, while the other species are herbaceous annuals or, when perennial, with the base of stems only slightly or not at all lignified.
