Arthrocaulon Piirainen & G.Kadereit

Genus traditionally represented by a single species in North Africa, A. macrostachyum, but 2 new species have recently been differentiated. All of them from coastal or inland saline and hypersaline environments. Species in this genus have traditionally been included in the genus Arthrocnemum Moq.
