Anogeissus (DC.) Wall.

Genus composed of 8 species, distributed mainly through Asia (5 species). The rest are found in the Arabian Peninsula (2 species) and Africa (1 species). The African species, A. leiocarpa grows in tropical areas, reaching in the N up to the southernmost part of the Sahara.
