En Afrique du Nord, cette famille est repr\u00e9sent\u00e9e par 5 genres. <strong>Balanites<\/strong>, repr\u00e9sent\u00e9 par une esp\u00e8ce arboricole, <strong>Fagonia<\/strong> et <strong>Zygophyllum<\/strong>, par des arbustes ou arbrisseaux, et les 2 autres, Tribulus et Seetzenia, par des esp\u00e8ces herbac\u00e9es. Certains auteurs (Christenhusz et al., 2018) proposent un traitement tr\u00e8s synth\u00e9tique o\u00f9 <em>Fagonia<\/em> est inclus dans <em>Zygophyllum<\/em>, bien qu&rsquo;il soit morphologiquement tr\u00e8s diff\u00e9rent.
