Leaves alternate, linear; the upper leaves shortly petiolate and with entire or subentire margin; the lower leaves subsessile and with teeth very spaced apart along the margin, all of them green, glabrous and glutinous. Capitula 2-3 cm in diameter, solitary, terminal, shortly pedunculate or sessile, surrounded by involucral leaves similar to the cauline leaves and much longer than the involucre. Involucre with 2-3 rows of imbricate bracts. Flowers yellow; outer flowers in ray florets and female, glandulose on the outside; the rest of the flowers tubular and hermaphrodite.
