Subshrub up to 50(60) cm in height, with numerous erect stems, tomentose-glandular. Leaves oblong, entire, unarmed, obtuse, widened at the base and clasping the stem, densely hairy. Capitula sessile or shortly pedunculate, solitary or grouped in 2-3 at the ends of short branches in the upper parts of the stems. Capitula with involucre 8-10 mm long, with several rows of laxly imbricated bracts, oblong, obtuse, with recurved apex and silky indumentum; outer bracts herbaceous; inner bracts membranous. Receptacle alveolate, without interfloral scales. Flowers all in disc florets and hermaphrodite, yellow, with apexes with 5 purple lobes.
