In North Africa, only 1 species is found, a small tree or shrub of tropical distribution: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.northafricatrees.org\/en\/species\/combretum-aculeatum-vent\/\"><strong>C. aculeatum<\/strong><\/a>. However, as one travels south of the Sahel and reaches the tropical forest, a larger number of species start appearing, such as the trees <strong>C. adenogonium <\/strong>Steud. ex A. Rich. (<em>C. ghasalense <\/em>Engl. &amp; Diels., <em>C. undulatum<\/em> Engl. &amp; Diels.), <strong>C collinum <\/strong>Fresen., <strong>C. gallabatense <\/strong>Schweinf., <strong>C. hartmannianum <\/strong>Schweinf. and <strong>C. molle <\/strong>R. Br. ex G. Don (<em>C. lepidotum<\/em> A.
