Hoffmanns. &amp; Link [<em>A. maritima<\/em> (L.) Ehrend. &amp; Y.P.Guo], with stems somewhat lignified at the base but hardly reaching 0.5 m in height, erect or extended-erect, not ramose; stems and leaves completely covered in white hairs that give the plant a general whitish appearance; leaves 1-1.5 cm, from oblong to oblong-lanceolate, entire but with a slightly dentante margin; inflorescence corymbiform, with all flowers in disc florets, yellow. It grows on littoral dunes of the NE Atlantic (from Iceland to the Canary Islands) and the Mediterranean.
